PicoStar Laser – 1, 2 or 3 Areas

PicoStar is a picosecond laser treatment used to target selected pigmentation concerns and support clearer, more even-looking skin with minimal surface disruption.

What it may treat

• Sun spots and selected benign pigmented lesions
• Uneven skin tone and unwanted pigmentation
• Selected acne scarring and skin-quality concerns
• Melasma as part of a carefully managed plan; it is not a cure and pigmentation may recur

Who it may be suitable for

Adults whose main concern is colour or clarity and who want a treatment with relatively limited surface downtime. Suitability and laser settings depend on the diagnosis, skin tone, medicines, medical history and previous treatments.

Possible risks and side effects

Temporary redness, swelling and tenderness are common. Crusting or blistering can occur, particularly when treating dense pigment or tattoos. Less common risks include temporary darkening or lightening of the skin, infection and scarring.

Downtime and return to work

Many people can return to work the same day or the following day. Visible redness or swelling commonly settles within 24–48 hours, although crusting or blistering may take longer to settle. Follow the personalised aftercare and sun-protection advice provided by the clinic.

How many sessions?

A small superficial concern may improve after one session, but a course of three or more treatments is often recommended. Tattoo removal and melasma management usually require an individualised course and ongoing review.
