Cool Pico

Cool Pico is a clinician-designed protocol that can combine or stage Erbium:YAG resurfacing with PicoStar treatment when both texture and pigmentation need to be addressed.

What it may treat

• Mixed pigmentation and uneven tone
• Sun damage with rough texture
• Selected acne scars and enlarged pores
• Fine lines with associated colour irregularity

Who it may be suitable for

Adults with more than one type of skin concern who may benefit from a combined or staged laser plan. The exact technologies, sequence and settings are selected after medical assessment.

Possible risks and side effects

Redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness and peeling can occur. Depending on the component used, crusting or blistering is possible. Less common risks include infection, prolonged redness, temporary pigment change and scarring.

Downtime and return to work

A PicoStar-dominant treatment may involve around 24–48 hours of visible redness. When Erbium:YAG resurfacing is included, allow approximately 3–7 days, or longer for stronger treatment. Return to work depends on the treatment combination and your healing.

How many sessions?

Area-based protocols are commonly planned as two sessions. A Deep Renew plan may use one or two sessions. Your recommended sequence can differ according to diagnosis and response.
