Cool Ora is a focused Erbium:YAG resurfacing treatment for the skin around the mouth, where lines and sun damage can be more resistant to lighter treatments.

Who it may be suitable for

Adults whose main concern is the quality of the skin around the mouth. It resurfaces skin and does not replace lost volume; other treatments may be recommended if volume loss or muscle movement is the main cause.

Possible risks and side effects

Redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness, peeling and crusting are expected. Risks include cold-sore reactivation, infection, prolonged redness, pigment change, delayed healing and scarring.

Downtime and return to work

Visible recovery is commonly around 3–7 days, depending on treatment strength. Plan a similar period before returning to work if you prefer not to have visible redness or peeling.

How many sessions?
